An avid yachtsman, Gavin values visibility, control and trust when navigating unpredictable conditions – and brings the same mindset to leading CyberLab. Executive Chairman

As Executive Chairman, David Pollock plays a central role in shaping CyberLab’s long‑term strategy and growth. After leading the separation of Chess Cybersecurity from its parent group, he oversaw the acquisition of multiple specialist cyber companies and unified them under the CyberLab brand, creating a single, scalable organisation with deep technical capability. His focus on strategic clarity, organisational alignment and commercial performance continues to drive CyberLab’s momentum in a rapidly evolving security landscape.

David brings extensive leadership experience built over three decades, having founded and grown Chess into one of the UK’s leading technology businesses. Under his stewardship, the organisation completed more than 100 acquisitions and became widely recognised for its strong culture and sustained performance. At CyberLab, David now applies this proven track record in scaling businesses, integrating teams and accelerating growth, ensuring the company remains well-positioned to support organisations across the UK in strengthening their cyber resilience.

Tom Davies

Chief Financial Officer

Tom Davies is Chief Financial Officer at CyberLab, where he partners closely with the Board and senior leadership team to drive sustainable growth, robust cashflow and strong financial governance. A proven change leader, Tom specialises in delivering complex finance transformation projects and building high-performing teams across Business Partnering, FP&A, Record to Report and Accounts Receivable, ensuring the numbers always support the wider business strategy.

Before joining CyberLab, Tom held senior finance roles in both PLCs and privately owned organisations, most recently as Group Financial Director at Chess. He has led end‑to‑end budget processes from order pipeline through to cashflow, successfully delivered finance integrations, and overseen implementations of ERP and business intelligence platforms. Passionate about making finance a true strategic partner, Tom brings a commercial, pragmatic lens to every decision he supports.
