CyberLab Sponsors The Entrepreneur Ship in The World’s Toughest Row Across the Atlantic

We were thrilled to support Cheshire adventurers Will Lomas and Adam Hardman as they took on The World’s Toughest Row 2024. Over the course of 47 days, they rowed more than 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean, completing this incredible challenge and raising funds for UnLtd, a UK charity that supports social entrepreneurs.

Throughout their journey, Will and Adam’s unwavering determination and resilience were truly inspiring. Their commitment to completing the race and raising vital funds for UnLtd has made a significant impact, helping to further the charity’s mission of supporting social entrepreneurs.

This challenge was not only physically demanding but also mentally taxing. Will and Adam endured harsh conditions, from unpredictable weather to the constant mental strain of being out at sea for weeks on end. Despite the difficulties, their teamwork and drive saw them through to the finish line, and we couldn’t be prouder to have supported them.

We’d like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Will and Adam on their remarkable achievement and thank everyone who supported their cause. Their journey is a testament to the power of perseverance and the spirit of adventure.

David Pollock, Chairman at CyberLab:

“We were delighted to support The Entrepreneur Ship in The World’s Toughest Row 2024 as Will and Adam embarked on this challenge.

We were proud to support them both in the challenge and in their chosen charity, UnLtd, which supports and funds social entrepreneurs creating solutions to improve society.

We followed their journey across the Atlantic Ocean and celebrated their success when they crossed the finish line.”

Will Lomas & Adam Hardman:

“We’d like to thank Cyberlab and the rest of our sponsors for their support, without which this challenge would not have been possible. Neither of us are what you would call ‘seasoned athletes’, but we share a passion for water sports and adventure, so when the opportunity arose, we both jumped at the chance to participate.

I mean, more people have climbed Everest! Our strategy is to row fast, stay safe and, importantly, find reasons to laugh along the way.”

The World’s Toughest Row proved to be a thrilling spectacle. It was a challenge that took Will and Adam more than 3,000 miles west from San Sebastian in La Gomera, Canary Islands, Spain, to Nelson’s Dockyard, English Harbour, Antigua and Barbuda.

The annual race began on 11th December 2024, with up to 40 teams participating from around the world. The test of endurance involved rowing for 2 hours and sleeping for 2 hours, constantly, 24 hours a day for approximately 60 days. Each crew member needed to consume 6,000 calories and drink 10 litres of water per day, yet still expected to lose an average of 12 kg.

CyberLab was honoured to support Will and Adam in The Entrepreneur Ship ‘Lucy’, in an event that embodied the thrill of competition and the beauty of the open sea.
